PocDoc Launches in 6 new NHS Regions in 6 Weeks

In just six weeks, PocDoc, the UK’s leading digital health diagnostics company, has successfully launched and expanded its digital cardiovascular screening service across six major NHS regions, delivering life-saving heart health checks to thousands of people.
From the Black Country in the West Midlands to West Yorkshire in the North, Suffolk in the East and Wessex in the South, PocDoc’s Healthy Heart Checks are already being delivered across communities, workplaces and homes spanning all four corners of the country. This nationwide reach has been made possible through close collaboration with NHS partners in each region, enabling the delivery of life-saving heart health checks directly to those who need them most.
Over 7.6 million individuals across the UK are affected by cardiovascular disease, yet 80% of cases are preventable with early intervention and lifestyle changes. PocDoc’s expansion through partnerships is helping to deliver life-saving health checks directly to communities, helping to tackle one of the country’s most pressing health challenges.
The expansion included partnerships with:
- Birmingham and Solihull – ICS Partnership
- West Yorkshire Health – ICB Partnership
- South Leicestershire Medical Group (SLMG)
- Suffolk and North East Essex – ICB Partnership
- Black Country – ICS Partnership
- Health Innovation Wessex
Across the 6 regions, PocDoc’s Healthy Heart Check is being used to make healthcare screenings more accessible via community institutions, including:
1) Birmingham and Solihull – ICS Partnership:
PocDoc’s Healthy Heart Check is now a core feature of NHS BSOL’s flagship ‘Cancer Bus Tour’, bringing combined cancer and heart health screening directly into the heart of local communities. This initiative enables thousands of people, particularly those in underserved areas, to access life-saving checks without needing to visit traditional healthcare settings.
2) West Yorkshire Health – ICB Partnership:
The Healthy Heart Check is being embedded across West Yorkshire’s extensive network of community health programmes, making preventive heart screenings a routine part of everyday life. By integrating checks into universities, community hubs, and local pharmacies, this partnership is reaching people who might not otherwise engage with traditional healthcare, helping to close gaps in access and improve long-term health outcomes across the region.
3) South Leicestershire Medical Group:
PocDoc is empowering thousands of patients across South Leicestershire to take control of their heart health by allowing them to complete the Healthy Heart Check from the comfort of their own homes. This approach removes traditional barriers to screening, making it easier than ever for people to access cardiovascular health on their own terms
4) Suffolk and North East Essex – ICB Partnership:
The pilot program in Suffolk and the North East includes partnering with the Latitude Festival to offer a unique health screening experience to over 45,000 festival-goers, showcasing a new way to engage people with preventive healthcare.
5) Black Country – ICS Partnership:
PocDoc’s Healthy Heart Check will be offered over a multi-day tour in September across Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. By combining heart health and other preventive checks in one outreach initiative, this partnership is maximising every opportunity to engage residents and drive earlier intervention for chronic disease.
6) Health Innovation Wessex:
PocDoc is partnering with Health Innovation Wessex to support a system-wide initiative for primary prevention, focusing on patients who have not previously engaged with traditional health checks. By working across multiple Primary Care Networks, this initiative is helping ensure more people are reached with needed cardiovascular screening and early intervention.
Steve Roest, CEO at PocDoc, commented:
“Our mission at PocDoc is to make life-saving health screenings more accessible to those who need them most. The fact that we’ve been able to launch across six regions in just six weeks demonstrates not only the demand for innovative technology like PocDoc but also the NHS’s drive to embrace innovation and make a meaningful impact in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. We are committed to working with our partners to make these checks accessible nationwide.”
