PocDoc and Living Well Rochdale bring Community Health Checks to residents across the Rochdale Borough

PocDoc, the UK’s leading digital health diagnostics company, is proud to announce a new partnership with Living Well Rochdale, commissioned by the Rochdale Borough Council, to deliver Community Health Checks to residents across Rochdale, Heywood, Middleton and the Pennies in an effort to promote healthy living.

Through this partnership, residents participating in the programme will receive PocDoc’s Healthy Heart Check and Diabetes Health Check, which will assess their risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, respectively. This will be offered as part of Rochdale Borough’s “Living Well Rochdale” initiative, which already provides residents with the support they need to stop smoking, lose weight, become more active and overall to live a healthier life.

By incorporating PocDoc’s Health Checks, the initiative will now expand its support to residents by offering accessible health screenings that can empower them to take charge of their health.

Research shows that:

• Around half of all type 2 diabetes cases could have been prevented or delayed.

• 80% of all CVD cases could have been prevented.

PocDoc makes it easier than ever for the residents of Rochdale to identify and understand their health risks, especially if they are unable to arrange a GP visit. This partnership represents a significant step toward the future of preventive care in communities.
