90% of Clinicians Back PocDoc App to Help Run Covid-19 Screenings
The PocDoc Revolution: Reinventing Disease Testing with a Smartphone
Pioneering Vision: A Healthier World At Your Fingertips
PocDoc was founded with the vision of allowing anyone with a smartphone to test themselves for a range of major diseases, with results available immediately in the PocDoc app – a lofty goal no doubt, but one that has the potential to revolutionise the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of some of the world’s largest health problems.
Whether we are focusing on Cardiovascular Disease or Covid-19, we have always put user and clinician experience first, developing the PocDoc platform according to our core design principles – easy to master, increase efficiency of care provision, cloud and mobile-first.
Pandemic Response: Safeguarding Communities with Innovation
Throughout the pandemic, thanks in part to backing from the UK Government, we’ve been able to keep workplaces safe, unlock live events and travel, culminating in the first ever trial of using Covid-19 lateral flow tests to test departing passengers at Edinburgh Airport, all done via the PocDoc app-based platform.
Clinician Feedback: Validation of Our Vision
Following an extensive user survey, we are very proud to report that over 90% of clinicians surveyed said the PocDoc app made it easier and quicker to run Covid-19 screenings.
Further, the simplicity of the PocDoc app was emphasised by 100% of clinicians stating it took “less than 5 minutes” to be fully trained and 100% stating that the PocDoc app was ‘easy’ or ‘very easy’ to use.
What made us even more proud was that over 90% of users, i.e. people who had been tested for Covid-19 using the PocDoc app, said the PocDoc app made the process “easy.”
In further support of the role that PocDoc’s app-based digital rapid testing platform can play in the fight against major diseases, 100% of clinicians surveyed agreed that using the PocDoc app and CVD lateral flow tests would be “significantly easier” than currently available methods for screening for Cardiovascular Disease.
The Next Horizon: Beyond Covid to Cardiovascular and Diabetes
As we as a society thankfully move away from Covid, we believe the fight should move to focus on Cardiovascular disease and Type 2 Diabetes – we at PocDoc can’t wait to make the user experience even better and improve patient health around the country.
These results are a huge testament to the amazing work being done across our entire organisation – the entire PocDoc team should take a bow…and there is a lot more to come….
