Attacking the “prevention gap” - Scaling up CVD screening in secondary and primary prevention in the North using innovative digital pathways has been shortlisted for Generating Impact in Population Health through Digital at the 2024 HSJ Digital Award
North East and North Cumbria ICS, Health Innovation Network NENC, West Yorkshire ICS, Health Innovation Network York & Humber and PocDoc are delighted to announce that Attacking the “prevention gap” - Scaling up CVD screening in secondary and primary prevention in the North using innovative digital pathways has been shortlisted for Generating Impact in Population Health through Digital at the 2024 HSJ Digital Awards, recognising innovative digital projects transforming care delivery, enhance efficiency, and improve patient outcomes.
343 entries have been received for this year’s Digital Awards, with 165 projects and individuals meriting inclusion on the final shortlist. The high volume - and exceptional quality – of applications once again mirrors the impressive levels of innovation and care continually being developed across the UK’s healthcare system.
Following the thorough judging process, North East and North Cumbria ICS, Health Innovation Network NENC, West Yorkshire ICS, Health Innovation Network York & Humber and PocDoc were shortlisted ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held on 6 June 2024, with its attacking the “prevention gap” - Scaling up CVD screening in secondary and primary prevention in the North using innovative digital pathway standing out as a real ‘success story’ worthy of a prized place on the panel’s shortlist.
The "Attacking the Prevention Gap" project, led by North East and North Cumbria ICS, Health Innovation Network NENC, West Yorkshire ICS, Health Innovation Network York & Humber and PocDoc, embarked on a mission to revolutionize cardiovascular disease (CVD) screening by leveraging digital technology to bridge the prevention gap in both primary and secondary care. Aimed at addressing the challenge of access to clinical-grade screening in areas marked by health inequality, this initiative successfully scaled up CVD screening using a community-first, digital-first approach

The selected winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Manchester Central on 6th June 2024.
